Install and first steps

CommsMundi can be installed on a physical or virtual server, the minimum requirements are:

  • CPU: any x86_64
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Disk Size: 50GB
  • Ethernet ports: 1

Install

The steps to install are:

  1. Burn de ISO file to a cdrom, usb device. You can use https://rufus.ie/en/ to write the ISO to a usb device
  2. Boot the server from the cdrom or usb
  3. Once the CommsMundi install menu appear, choose: “Start Installer”
  4. The next menu, choose “1 - Install CommsMundi”, press “ok”
  5. Confirm to format the disk, press “Yes”
  6. Once the installation is finish, press “ok”
  7. You can now connect to the web administration using one of the default ip address: http://10.10.1.1:1080

Rescue interface

You use rescue interface to change multiple parameters in order to gain access to the web administration. To access the rescue interface to change the default ip address:

  1. connect a monitor to the server.
  2. introduce the safe mode password: commsmundi1
  3. choose the option: 1 - Edit network interfaces (ip/cidr)
  4. here you can see all the detected interfaces and the current link and status, then, follow the instructions:
    1. select the number of the interface to change, 1, press enter
    2. set the new ip or choose dhcp, d, press enter
    3. wait for confirmation
