Monitor: Probe

CommsMundi can check the connection to a remote server executing automatic ICMP request to it. This type of probe allows also to check the link quality by measuring the delay in the connection. In order to add a new probe go to the page Monitor → Probes and click add. Set the probe parameters:

Arping is a computer software tool that is used to discover hosts on a computer network. The program tests whether a given IP address is in use on the local network, and can get additional information about the device using that address.
