Networking - Routing

The page Networking → Routing , is the section is used to set the rules used to route networking traffic.

Default route

In order to add a default route where all the default traffic will go use the following parameters:

  • Name:
  • Priority: first
  • Destination: x - default
  • Gateways:
    • x - unique
    • IP address: 192.168.1.1; x - Auto-SNAT
  • x - Activate external monitor
    • Method: ICMP; IP: 176.31.107.154

:!: in external monitor is recommended to use more than one remote ip address.

Gateway

Check the gateways defined in your system, at the page Networking → Routing [Gateways]. It's possible to define a DNS name for a default gateway.
In Comms Mundi there is two Dynamic DNS services that can be used:

  • DDNS - use an account for Wireless Mundi dynamic DNS server.
  • DynDns - use DynDns account.

:!: Comms Mundi will periodically check for changes in the IP address and send an update command to the Dynamic DNS service selected.

DDNS

Edit a default gateway and set a DDNS account use the following parameters:

  • Hostame: server1.ddns.commsmundi.com
  • Protocol: ddns
  • Server: 176.31.107.154
  • Username: demo
  • Password: demo

DynDNS

Edit a default gateway and set a DynDns account use the following parameters:

  • Hostame: server1.dyndns.org
  • Protocol: DynDNS
  • Username: demo
  • Password: demo
